WHAT IS vitiligo?
Vitiligo is a skin condition in which patients develop white patches. In this condition the melanocytes (pigment producing cells) are destroyed hence melanin cannot be produced.
Multiple factors like genetic, immunological and neurogenic factors are incriminated in the cause of vitiligo, Stress and trauma can act as triggering factor.
